Wyscout

After the end of my career as a professional footballer, I directed my development towards the world of football analysis, sports data, and international team management.

Over the past 15 years, I have built a strong career within one of the world’s leading companies in football data and video analysis, progressing through multiple key roles and ultimately reaching the position of Head of Quality Assurance at Hudl, part of the Wyscout family.

My professional journey began in 2011 as a Sports Analyst, where I was responsible for detailed match analysis, video processing, and statistical data input. From the very beginning, I developed a solid foundation in reading the game, combining my practical experience as a footballer with analytical work, focusing on player and team performance details, as well as the precision required to build a reliable football data ecosystem.

In the following years, I advanced through several leadership and management roles, where I was responsible not only for analysis quality but also for recruitment, training, development, and management of large international teams. As Director of Training, I played a key role in interviewing, hiring, and training over 500 new analysts. I was actively involved in establishing and developing new offices and operational structures in countries such as Senegal, India, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Kosovo, and Bulgaria. In many of these locations, we started from scratch, building teams, creating workflows, training analysts, and later managing and coordinating all operations from Bulgaria.

As Quality Assurance Lead and later Quality Assurance Manager, I significantly expanded my expertise in building quality control systems, performance evaluation frameworks, and team development structures. I managed an entire division of three teams with over 80 employees, overseeing their organization, task distribution, operational efficiency, and overall product quality. I also created a specialized video glossary of over 1,400 clips with detailed tactical explanations, which became a key training and operational tool within the organization.

Since July 2024, I have been serving as Head of Quality Assurance at Hudl Wyscout, where I lead large-scale quality operations in the field of professional football analysis and sports data intelligence. In this role, I am responsible for over 100 employees and for the overall strategic management of processes related to quality control, performance evaluation, recruitment, training, organizational structure, cross-border coordination, and daily operations.

I have worked with multicultural teams across three continents and ten countries, with a primary focus on ensuring the highest level of data accuracy, operational efficiency, and sustainable development of both people and processes.

Beyond operational and managerial responsibilities, I actively contribute to product innovation. I am involved in designing new evaluation methodologies, refining event definitions within the software, improving internal processes, and supporting the development of new features. My work combines football intelligence, leadership, analytical thinking, and strategic vision in an environment where data quality is critical for clubs, scouts, analysts, and football professionals worldwide.

Over the years, I have also attended numerous international forums and industry events that bring together the global football and analytics community, including in cities such as Milan, Barcelona, Turin, and other major European hubs. These experiences have allowed me not only to stay at the forefront of trends in football, technology, and analytics, but also to exchange knowledge with top professionals in the game.

Today, my professional identity is built on a unique combination of a football background, extensive hands-on experience in game analysis, proven international leadership, and the ability to build high-performing teams and systems in one of the most demanding and competitive sectors of the sports industry. My strength lies in developing people, structures, and standards that transform complex processes into sustainable quality and turn data into real value for professional football.

FC Shumen

FC Montana

My professional career as a football player began at an early age and developed consistently and purposefully.

I have 8 years of experience in professional football between 2003 and 2011 in the Bulgarian A and B groups with over 180 official matches - a period in which I built not only playing qualities, but also discipline, resilience and understanding of the game at a high level.

I have been training football since I was 7 years old and went through all the youth teams, which gave me a solid foundation both technically and tactically. At the age of 16, I was recruited to the men's team of Volov (Shumen) and a little later I made my debut in an official match - an important step that accelerated my transition to professional football and allowed me to face the demands of the men's game early.

With our home team, we competed in Group B, and in 2006 we reached the semi-finals of the Bulgarian Cup - a significant achievement that remains one of the highlights of my career and proof of our team's competitiveness.

In 2009, I took the next step in my development, moving to FC Montana in Group A - an opportunity to experience the highest level of Bulgarian football and gain valuable experience against leading teams and players.

This period of my career not only built me as a footballer, but also shaped my way of thinking - an understanding of the dynamics of the game, decision-making under pressure and the importance of teamwork, which later became the basis for my development in analysis and management in the football industry.
